Parent Training

 

We offer both parent training as part of the treatment plans and also independently. We also provide Parent Training to all family members and caregivers who want to learn to be a better parents and support their children.

Parent Training is central to our therapy when working with children. It is essential in continuing fidelity when we cannot be there. Just as we train our RBTs and other staff, we use Behavior Skills Training (BST).
 
We model the appropriate techniques, train the parent(s), have them implement, give feedback and continue until parents are able to implement correctly. We know how important it is for caregivers to continue ABA techniques when we cannot be around.
 
We also provide Parent Training for cases that the department of family and protective services request. We work with family members to learn to be a better parent for the purpose of reunification.

When you reach out to us, we will start with a phone call to discuss our different programs including ABA. At that time, if you would like we also offer a Meet & Greet to meet the BCBA and go through family history, goals, etc.

Assessment

Next, we submit all necessary paperwork to insurance for preauthorization. Once approved, a BCBA is assigned to complete the assessment & write the treatment plan. Assessments are done in the home and clinic environments - anywhere the problems have occured.

Begin Program

Once the BCBA submits a treatment plan is approved internally & treatment hours are approved by insurance, we will review it with the family. We'll discuss next steps and recommendations. At this time we will also determine the best schedule including Parent Meetings.
