When we were first founded, we set out to create an entire Telehealth unit that would serve rural and outlying communities with behavioral analytic services. The Pandemic forced that to the forefront of our organization. Since COVID, Telehealth ABA is more common and more requested. Now, we are able to provide this service when appropriate to implement ABA in an effective and safe way.

We started our telehealth ABA program in 2014 with a waiver that was granted to us by the local authorities. We had success training and supervising behavior technicians to implement ABA techniques in areas where ABA was not readily available. We brought services to low-income communities in and around Eagle Pass. Over the years, we have continued to provide training to caregivers, community members and other professionals through video conferences introducing ABA techniques.

Once the pandemic started, some insurances began to allow for telehealth ABA. Our practitioners have trained to become proficient using video conferences as a means to provide both parent training and direct one-to-one ABA. We have been able to successfully aid parents with increasing behaviors that will allow for more fruitful distance learning.

Our providers have been able to facilitate Discrete Trial Training using programs like Boom Cards and even parallel play to continue to run programs recommended and approved by insurance. We are still regularly providing parent training for Tricare clients on days they are not provided direct one-to-one ABA therapy.

When you reach out to us, we will start with a phone call to discuss our different programs including ABA. At that time, if you would like we also offer a Meet & Greet to meet the BCBA and go through family history, goals, etc.

Assessment

Next, we submit all necessary paperwork to insurance for preauthorization. Once approved, a BCBA is assigned to complete the assessment & write the treatment plan. Assessments are done in the home and clinic environments - anywhere the problems have occured.

Begin Program

Once the BCBA submits a treatment plan is approved internally & treatment hours are approved by insurance, we will review it with the family. We'll discuss next steps and recommendations. At this time we will also determine the best schedule including Parent Meetings.
